James Beard–Featured Chef | Food Network Winner | Culinary Innovator
Born and raised near Hyderabad, India, Chef Asif R. Syed began his culinary journey rooted in the rich traditions of Mughlai cuisine. After earning a degree in Hotel Management and training internationally, he brought his passion and creativity to Florida, becoming one of Naples’ most respected chefs for over 20 years.
A James Beard House–featured chef and Food Network champion, Chef Asif gained national acclaim after defeating Bobby Flay and appearing on Guy’s Grocery Games and Cutthroat Kitchen. He has visited the White House twice and had the honor of cooking at the Vice President’s residence for a state dinner.
Honored as Gulfshore Life’s 2019 Man of the Year, Chef Asif led the celebrated 21 Spices by Chef Asif for nearly a decade before its closure in April 2025. Today, he continues shaping Florida’s culinary identity through innovation, mentorship, and global inspiration.

Originally from North Carolina, Heather Donnelly discovered her passion for hospitality at an early age and followed it to the coastal waters of South Florida, where her career flourished in some of the region’s most prestigious luxury properties. With more than 23 years of experience in fine dining, hotel operations, and high-end guest services, Heather brings a legacy of excellence to her role as General Manager of AYRE by Karma.
Heather’s career began at one of America’s most celebrated destinations, The Inn on Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina, where she developed a deep appreciation for refined service, meticulous attention to detail, and the art of creating unforgettable guest experiences. Her journey later led her to The Breakers Palm Beach, a world-renowned icon of luxury hospitality, where she continued to elevate her craft and lead teams in delivering exceptional service at the highest level.
Known for her strong leadership, operational expertise, and passion for developing high-performing teams, Heather has successfully overseen restaurant openings, curated elevated dining programs, and cultivated environments that blend warmth, precision, and innovation. Her commitment to excellence and her intuitive understanding of luxury dining made her the natural choice to lead AYRE by Karma, a restaurant defined by artistry, authenticity, and world-class culinary vision.
